Tracks of the Month

Mark Orton is a composer working in the mediums of film scoring, concert music, and radio drama. He is a multi-instrumentalist, performing on all manner of guitars, keyboards, and percussion. He is the co-founder of Tin Hat (formerly Tin Hat Trio), a San Francisco Bay Area based composer/improviser collective with six critically acclaimed albums. He has written original scores or contributed music to films including “My Old Lady,” “Nebraska,” “The Good Girl,” “Everything Is Illuminated,” “Sweet Land,” “The Loss of a Teardrop Diamond,” “The Real Dirt on Farmer John,” “Mine,” “Comrades in Dreams,” “Buck,” “The Revisionaries,” and “360,” among many others. Collaborations with dance companies include ODC Dance, Bandaloop, Pilobolus, Spectrum, Lawrence Goldhuber, Les 7 Doigts de la Main, and Do Jump.
